Huda Liquid Matte Lipsticks Review

October 21, 2017

Hi guys! In today’s blog, I will be reviewing the famous Huda liquid matte lipsticks.

I cannot remember the last time I used a standard type of lipstick.

Most of my lipstick collections are in matte liquid formulas which I find  easier when it comes to application. My love of liquid lipsticks started when Lime Crime became popular with their collections. Since everyone was raving about it in the beauty community, I decided to get one for myself. The results were satisfying which made me decide that I will be using liquid lipsticks more for a change. So whenever I shop for lipsticks, I automatically look for liquid formulas which by the way is a lot in the market. So far, I’ve been trying Dose of Colors, Kylie Lip Kits, Colourpop Liquid Lips, Sephora cream lip satin, etc. There were some liquid lipsticks that dry my lips out completely like the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers which made my lips very dry that it made me just throw it after few days of using it. And then there were also creamy ones like my favorite NYX soft matte lip cream.

I have been using Huda’s liquid lipsticks for quite sometime now and I want to share what I thought about them.

Introducing Huda Beauty’s latest lip beautifier: the Liquid Matte, an unrivaled take on the liquid lipstick. The tried and true comfort-wear formula from top beauty expert, Huda Kattan, is infused with antioxidants and an exclusive complex to help maintain the lips’ hydration. The lightweight formula glides on a thin coat of color that intensifies as it sets to a matte, transfer-free finish with amazing staying power. You might even forget you’re wearing anything on your lips at all! Sixteen must-have colors can be used alone or combined to create the perfect color for any occasion. Pair it with a complementary Huda Beauty Lip Contour to set off your look. Color appearance may vary based on skin tone once set.

I created these because I could never find a liquid lipstick that suited my needs. This formula is so light, it feels like you’re wearing nothing at all, but gives you a long-lasting, transfer-free finish in shades to die for.” – Huda Kattan.

     Bombshell

Bombshell is a gorgeous peach nude shade with a slight hue of red.

                        Flirt

Flirt is described as a cheeky brown color.

    Material Girl

Material Girl is a slightly plumish purple shade.

Vixen

Vixen is a combination of a dark brown and red color.

Cheerleader

Cheerleader is a bright red shade.

Icon

Icon is a light red shade.

Swatches

I already disposed the packaging since I place my lipsticks on an acrylic drawer. The packaging though was absolutely gorgeous.

The liquid lipsticks has a soft liquid texture & a creamy formula that didn’t dry out my lips after application which is surprisingly good since it’s matte. It has a sweet cake batter scent to it which I don’t find overpowering.

The applicator of the product is a doe foot applicator. I noticed that one dip is enough to color the whole lips.

All the shades that I got are very pigmented and is true to color. Upon application, it dries quickly compared to other liquid lipsticks that I have tried. It doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. The lasting power is moderately good. After drinking and eating, the color is still noticeable but not as vibrant when I first applied it.

They also have a good range of shades which I find pleasant.

I don’t have any negative thoughts to say about it aside from the price since there are a lot of affordable brands which offers the same quality of liquid lipsticks. Overall,  It’s a good quality liquid lipstick that is lightweight & transfer proof,  easy to apply and blend.

I will be purchasing more shades in the future. If you have used Huda’s liquid matte lipsticks, please feel free to let me know your experiences or the colors that you loved the most.
